A note from the teacher
So remember no school this Thursday and Friday because it’s our field trip Portland International Airport Fire Department on April 16th & 17th at 10:00 and 1:00 for the afternoon class. We will be joined by the Busy Bee class for this field trip, so it would be great if your child would wear their purple shirt so we can keep our class together.
Parent Conferences are on Thursday April 30th and the school will be closed on Friday May 1st because of the Annual Church Rummage Sale. Conferences are optional and I will provide an “assessment” regardless if you sign up for conferences or not, so please don’t feel obligated to attend conferences. I love to tell you great things about your child anytime so please feel free to talk with me at any time about your child’s day. J
Summer Camp
Summer Camp is held the first full three weeks in July. It’s a lot of fun for the children, plus a great way to keep your child connected with school and their friends. The themes this week are Wild about Nature, Let’s Get Messy, and the ever popular Water Week! They will run from 9-11:30. There will be a lot of outside activities, a cooking project each week and collaborative projects. Registration is now open, you can sign up in the office. The fee is $85.00 per week.
Cal-Portalnd Visit
We will have a Trans Mix Concrete Truck (Cement Mixer) in our parking lot for classes to visit on Wednesday April 29th. If your child doesn’t attend on Wednesday you may join us for our outside playtime so they can check out the truck. The children will walk around it and look inside the truck but we won’t be getting up into the truck. The driver ( a.k.a. Darrell, my husband) will talk with children about what the truck does and what it makes inside the big barrel. I would like to thank Cal-Portalnd for making it possible for the children to be able to see how our sidewalks are made right in our own parking lot.

A note from the teacher
Welcome back!! I hope everyone had an enjoyable Spring Break and was able to take advantage of the moments of sunshine.
I will be gone on Wednesday but Marissa and Shelley will be here to finger painting and feet paint with the children that day.
We have a wonderful opportunity to attend a field trip at the Portland International Airport Fire Department on April 16th & 17th at 10:00 and 1:00 for the afternoon class. So mark your calendars. We will be joined by the Busy Bee class for this field trip, so it would be great if your child would wear their purple shirt so we can keep our class together. I would like to thank Robert and Wendy Bigelow for setting this all up for our class.
