What a blast bowling was, the children all seemed to enjoy it and I think the parents had a good time too! The purple shirts were a hit as well, some of the Teddy Bear Parents even commented on how great they looked.
So a heads up on the Valentine Celebrations, we will have a class party and I will have a sign up sheet for food but we won’t make a huge deal of parents coming just because I don’t want anyone to feel bad if their adults can’t be there. (We have the Click Clack Moo Field Trip the next week and I know some parents have to schedule it all in ) The children can bring valentines for all their friends. We basically have 12 children in each class, so to make it easy they can sign their names on the valentines but not address them. If your child has started to write their name this is great practice. The children will decorate bags to keep their valentines in. I will have the children come up with a food list, we have started the voting process. We vote on a lot of decisions to be made, the children love it and we learn some math in doing so.
We have something that was just added to the school calendar that I want you all to be aware of, The Family Read In on February 5th at 5:30 – 7:00. We will also be unveiling some All School Murals that we have been working on since the beginning of the year. We had several different canvas’ visit our class rooms and we each added some new art medium to them and I can’t wait to see the masterpiece that they have turned into.J I would really like to do this with just our class, with our morning and afternoon class. I will have each class start one and then go back and forth adding to it and expressing our ideas with each other as we go.
