A note from the teacher

It has been a great week! The children loved learning about nocturnal animals. I’m sure if you ask them they would sing the bat song for you.

It was wonderful to see you all at the school Read In and the Dad’s Breakfast. Thank you all for squeezing it in to your busy schedules. If you haven’t seen the All School Art projects that we created I think they will be in the main foyer by the preschool office. Our class worked on the one that looks a little more chaotic.

In the weeks following our class is going to begin to work on some art creations of our own. We will start off by sending a brown bag home with each child this week. We would like the children to bring items back in the bag that we can sort into color or shape or add to a class mural. (These items won’t be returned so make sure they aren’t too valuable.) We will create three murals discussing which art process we want to start with and then add to it. I will group the canvas by the children that come MWF, TH, and afternoon. Each group will get to start a canvas and then we will switch with the other group. So all the groups will add to each canvas! I’m very excited about the process of this.
